Absolutely mature, in perfect health and right in the zone. This is now revealing its clever winemaking style, as the wood has integrated totally into the wine, not leaving a trace behind, and instead, giving you the impression of a seamless fine wine. Perfectly ripe red fruit, earth, graphite, and a hint of vanilla hidden within that beautiful mouth cleansing acidity to make it all come together and remain fresh. DRINK

From magnum. All secondary and tertiary aromas at this point, with vanilla, dill, forest floor, tobacco, and leather. Unfortunately does not have much fruit left so the wine lacks harmony. Probably should have been consumed a few years ago so I would drink any remaining bottles sooner rather than later.

Nose has tar, damp forest floor, and dark cherries.
Palate is well balanced with licorice, sour cherries, mushrooms, and some tannins.
Definitely has evolved with time.
