Light ruby color, took 30 minutes for the nose to start to open, initially fresh red fruits with some spice and earth notes. Palate was quite bright and engaging with strawberry and, as more time passed, the blacker fruit flavors I associate more with GC became more evident. Good acidity, assertive structure, nice balance and finish. Very pleased with this bottle it is drinking very well indeed.

To me, the structure of this wine dominated the fruit. I tasted much high profile acids and tannins. I should have visited this bottle later since I believe that it was still very young.

Robert's note is spot on. I left my first pour in the glass for 5 hours, taking wee sniffs and snips along the way, and while it got better with each successive visit, the fruit that I kept waiting to plump up in the glass just didn't materialize. Nonetheless, beautifully structured and still quite fresh.

Incredible freshness dominates the senses, but not cloyingly. The fruit that's here is stunning, there's not just a lot of it. Very nice finish. Doesn't taste like an old wine at all.

Bobby Kacher Tasting and Dinner (The Boarding House - Chicago IL): Not very forthcoming aromatically, but palate displays good combination of black fruit, meatiness, and reduced mushroom flavors that seem classically Gevrey. Long and elegant middle and finish.
