Drank at Chateau Haut Brion dinner. Im not a big white wine drinker. Simply amazing. Pure, clean, and balanced. Rich, full bodied. Honey, vanilla, toffee, citrus, oak.

Crushed stone, grapefruit and citrus lead to a concentrated, full bodied, expressive, fresh, citrus filled wine with volume, length concentration and complexity.

En primeur tasting of the 2012 vintage at Château Haut-Brion (Château Haut-Brion): The nose is smoky with wax, yellow apple, pear, hints of honey, some white flowers, some mint. More aromatic than the Clarté but much similarity in the nose. Rather full-bodied on the palate, yellow apple, citrus notes, oily, noticeably minty, medium+ acidity, good freshness, long aftertaste. Clearly more freshness than the second wine. (93-95)?

Montrachet Dinner: 10 Vintages of Ramonet and Marquis de Laguiche, 1983-2002 (Oceana - New York NY): Bright summer day with freshly cut grass, then ripe lemons for that lemonade. Good hints of licorice and spice. Very good concentration. Lots and lots of structure, not quite seemingly in harmony yet, but I like the potential a lot as this softens, probably 2020 forward.
