11th of 12, opened 15 minutes, perfect level, soaked /half travelled cork, just off best like last bottle in 2017, more colour, edgier/less round, losing that extra umpf of a very top wine in a top vintage if with beguiling minerality, steel and lifting lemon bringing superb balance, but make no mistake this remains outstanding at 32 and a real poke in the eye for modern nostrums and wine making practice, no pox, no rush but probably no upside. F+ (18).

Has size and density with a classic bite, very pleasant but not profound.

Jamie and Linda’s Excellent Wine Adventure (Country Club of Florida): Beautiful youthful color, very good nose, weight on the palate, a gem to try. Drink.

Long decant, a slight taint to the taste but otherwise a really good wine.
