  Well, the bottle was fine, and my tasting note agrees completely with my note from the second day of my previous note: some spice and bright red fruits, must and tea leaves on the nose. On the palate, great acidity, solidly medium bodied with a cripsness and a very well-structured finish. Again, this is still a baby, but well put-together.
  
  Update: even better on Day 2. Lots of dark earth on the nose, together with some mineral notes added to the already alluring nose of red fruit. Seems a bit tangier on the finish, where the tannin has already softened a bit.

  I bought what I thought was the 2012 Vosne-Romanee at the winery, but there was apparently some confusion..they were bottling the Gevrey-Chambertin that day and it turns out that I got that instead. Anyway, if I had known, I wouldn't have opened this. It was just completely shut down on Day 1. On Day 2, this was still tight, but much more expressive. A pure nose of bright red fruits, some tea leaves...very elegant. Still fairly tannic on the finish, but balanced by a beautiful acidity. This is going to be a wonderful wine, but I wouldn't touch another bottle for at least a few years.
