  • Decanted for an hour. Bright fruit. Clean and refreshing style.can improve a tad. Wait two years, have 3 left. Though, more ready than I thought it would be.

  • This is so aromatic….tonnes of pure fruit, stems, herbs, flowers, minerals, cola and red fruit. Gorgeous nose…has the Rhys signature all over it.
    Palate is so juicy and pure….tart red fruit, flowers, stems, minerals and herbs are everywhere on this wine….great acid balance.
    Finish is long and layered. This wine is spectacular….drink it now or wait…this is rocking but the fruit is still primary and has years ahead of it. No rush as this will only get even better. Great wine, almost classic

  • Engaging nose of sweet red fruits, florals with slight pungency hinting at the acid present here. On the palate, similar red fruits, juiciness, and some slight herbal bitterness on the palate. With extended air that nod to the stem inclusion on this wine dissipates. The ripeness of the fruit is more pronounced on the palate, with a bit of raisin/fig evoked, framed by a touch of exotic spice that comes out on the nose. Pretty clearly California in my opinion. Could use a little time for the stems to integrate, but also delicious now. 92

  • Slow oxed for 12 hours and enjoyed with steak dinner. I chose this bottle because the cork was slightly raised by a cm or two. The bottle was fine with ample dark fruit. The tannin was silky but the acid was very pronounced in this bottle which cut the fatty steak extremely well but didn't do so well on its own. I'm not sure what the future holds for this one. I'll try another bottle in a few years and find out.

  • First taste and aroma were promising - aromas of baked cherries followed by more cherry with earthiness and perhaps a hintof savoriness. There is also a rich, opulent mouthfeel. Nothing else seemed to happen and the wine never opened up. Very Good to Excellent.
