  Deep gold. Aromas of dried fig, river rock, white pepper, wet hay. Deep fruit on the palate with great tension and drive, crystalline core in an electric acid frame. Medium body, low to medium alcohol (13%), very long finish with a fine note of grapefruit rind. Utterly delcious.

  Rich aromas of apricots, walnuts, and hay. Mesh of rich fruit and intense acids on the palate, beautifully interwoven, with a long ringing acid finish. Incisive wisdom, vibrant age.

  Pale yellow with a hint of gold. Intense core of honeyed fruit on the palate shot through with electric acids, sweet flow to a gentle bitter note of grapefruit rind at the back, long symphonic coda of a finish. Shy but complex nose of green apple, sherried apricots, rainwater, the merest touch allspice. Medium bodied with a certain richness. Utterly convincing. 13% alcohol

  Very faint notes of fruit and herbs on the nose and palate. Mostly a minerally structure with nice acidity but with much less fruit (and dare I say) interest than it had five years ago. YMMV but for my palate, this was a much more intriguing wine at 5 years of age than it is now.
