Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 4/21/2012 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): This Petit Sirah is an old friend. As a proud and long standing member of the purple teeth society, we know this wine well. It is always consistent, but rarely exceptional. It does not cost a lot of money, and typically, we are quite happy with the quality. This is a soft and easy drinking purple teeth wine. The nose, and the first sip are very boysenberry. The color, of course is purple. Very ripe, there are not a lot of tannins supporting the bright blueberry, blackberry, and boysenberry fruit. They have a nice touch with the integration as we don't get big alcohol, oak, or acid. Not quite full bodied. Very nice chocolate and blueberry finish.
