This wine is a head-turner! The best burgundy style charbonnay QPR I know. Had it over a late X-mas dinner and amidst some other very good wines, it stood out: everyone wanted to buy it.

For years a favorite of mine; a fabulous QPR chardonnay from Down Under. Very Burgundian-like, thanks to the cool nights on the Mornington peninsula. This is the first bottle of the 2006 vintage I have tasted and it is quite different from 2005. There is much more acidity suggesting it is worthwhile cellaring, but it also makes it a little less accessible today. This is probably the better vintage, but it has the drawback of having to wait...

excellent value - nose of citrus, peach, melon, butter. taste consistent with nose, well balanced. a bit too much oak for my taste.
