I agree with my tasting note of three weeks ago !! This bottle was not quite as exciting as the last, so I rated it one tick lower !! This wine is absolutely delicious, perfectly aged, and at peak !! Perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, removed easily. Consumed before dinner with friends. This balanced wine showed well immediately and only improved over the next 90 minutes. Light ruby color with no oxidation and medium clarity. Aromas of red cherry and cranberry. Flavors of fresh cherries, pomegranate, and rhubarb with a hint of baking spice and forest floor. This Pinot Noir has a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir that may have more years of life remaining, fortunately I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining in the cellar. A great fruit sources from the Haven which is located at 1,200 feet elevation between Occidental and the Pacific. There are approximately 40 different rootstock and clonal combinations within this small four-acre vineyard. The Haven is very cool and late ripening with 12 clones on soils of Hugo-Josephine loams; the property is very heterogeneous with uplifted undersea volcanics, sandstones, shales, and serpentine-derived loams. All of these elements and great winemaking from Ted Lemmon combine to consistently produce a very fine Pinot Noir.

Stunning wine and perfectly mature imho. Bright cherry fruit mixed with cranberries and pomegranate. Green herbs and a wonderful acidity in the aftertaste. Continuously developing in the glass displaying the complexity! I simply adored this wine at this stage!

3.5 years after the prior: Medium dark ruby, translucence at the edges. Lovely suggestions of savory/mineral cherry. Beautifully in balance, with lovely acid backbone. This has developed very nicely, and was highly enjoyable over three nights.
