Subtle tropical notes atop an explosion of ripe dark fruit. Tannins resolved, acid in balance and pineapple, honey and damson in abundance with the sweetest kiss of oak. Superb!

Lunch with four cellar orphans, all oldies. The BV was too old and on the verge of dying. Initially drinkable and a bit interesting, but quickly died in less than an hour. Opened at 5:45pm, drank first glass at 8:15pm. Got this bottle directly from vineyard 3 years ago and properly stored in my cellar. This held up really nicely, a bit of an acidic bite, but plenty of fruit left and just a really nice, balanced wine. Napa cabs never die!

12/14/2023 - Grapetimescomin Does not like this wine:
Drinkable but barely. Muted nose, very acidic, and really not enjoyable. Second bottle in a row that didnt taste anything like the comments.

From Magnum, decanted for 2 hours
Deep garnet, intense nose, good acidity
Black and dried fruits, spiced
This wine is still singing
