But this is true to type, i.e., boxwood and nettle, polished and silky, irises all over the place; lovely, amazingly classy and even complex for its price. It’s no exaggeration to call this one of the world’s best wine values.

Weekend in London; 5/12/2017-5/13/2017 (Ledbury, Il Baretto, Hedonsim): By the glass at the Ledbury. Decent acidity. Lots of almost a wildflower honey in the background. Really enjoyed it. Was great with the scallop especially. The acidity also cut the fat in the egg. Very tasty.

Gobelsburger is Austrian for good: terrific wine for the price. Straw color with goldent tints; ample bouquet redolent of petrol, somewhat luscious on the palate, some mineral quality and tropical fruits.
