  Just a great Petite Sirah. It was hitting its peak and should be consumed over the next few years. Tannins have softened and it has some nice fruit flavors. Super enjoyable at this point.

  Dynamite! Tastes similar to the 2008 Old Vines - thick, overflowing tasty fruit, decadent. WS review said to drink by 2024, but here in 2024 it’s just hitting its stride - I expect it’ll still be drinking great in 2034.

  Dark fruits, tannins are there but not overwhelming. Good to go but shouldn't fade any time soon

  I've had any number of 2010 California cabernets that are fading (or worse), but this more moderately priced petite sirah seems to be just hitting its stride. Calling it a big boy doesn't do it justice, because it's a lot more than that. It's humongous, but it's not oppressively tannic. All kinds of bright, vibrant black and blue berries effectively mask the ridiculous high octane. Almost absurdly rich and viscous, Parker would have a field day describing it (hedonistic, voluptuous, etc.). Will probably outlive me.

  Just awesome. Shared with four buddies over hangar steaks. Thick, rich, inky, decadent. Nice balance of fruit and acidity. Wish I had more.
