Nuts, dried fruits, wet rocks, iodine, pleasant oxidization, green apple, slight hint of burnt brown sugar. intense flavour concentration. Very long finish.

From 62cl, perfect cork. Muted Arbois VJ lacking expressiveness or complexity. Pleasant enough, clear Savignin bite. Superior examples (Tissot or Ch. Chalon from the likes of Macle) are well worth the additional cost. 86P

Rich yellow brown. Walnuts, cumin, fenugreek, butter, brown sugar, raisins on the nose. Lean and acidic at first on the palate, followed by sweet nutty notes in a lingering finish. Rich oily mouth feel.

Jura, Puligny Montrachet and Champagne; 9/8/2013-9/20/2013: Fungal profile from start to finish, but good balance of strong acidity and weighty, oaky fruit (what fruit? I don't know. Something a bit mouldy and very acidic? Ancient cooking apple, perhaps?) Not very clean on the finish. Time may tell; unlike the 2006 there is plenty of stuffing here. 14% alc. 86P(+?)

Has characteristic vin jaune flavors & aromas. Good, but not as complex as Puffenay or a couple others.
