  Served for dinner with grass fed beef filets, garlic green beans and sautéed portobello mushrooms. Bottle removed from cellar 4 hours before the meal was served, and decanted 30 minutes prior to sit down.
  Color: dark and thick, ambered, with beautiful legs. Nose: full, rich, tarry, nuanced mint and licorice, earthy/wild, initially blackberry and cherries, slight headiness. Mouth: leather, hoisin, cherry cough syrup, black molasses, thick and unctuous, prunes; gamey and smoked meat aspect, well balanced, 18-20sec lingering of flavor. 93/100pts

  At Singer & Foy survey of "Rhone clones." Nice dark ruby color. Thick. Good peppery fruit. Nice flavor. Gentle yet peppery. OK, but not a favorite. 5-10-14-7: 86/100.

  With MPL and BLR at Singer & Foy survey of CA "Rhone clones." Good ruby-magenta color. Young earthy fruit, much like the "Los Olivos." A bit more harmonious on the palate. Low acid. Needs time. 5-10-15-7: 87/100.
