  5 of 12 decanted @ 5:00 and brought to Claud for 7:30 dinner were it was paired with the 2009 VR Beaux Monts.
  
  Darker color and more restrained nose than the 2009. Darker fruited than the bottle last summer, some spice and earth notes, well integrated tannins, balanced, long finish. This was an excellent bottle but didn’t hit the heights of the bottle last last summer. The best glass was the last glass… I think a longer decant would have helped somewhat

  Consistent with several other experiences with this wine, it just doesn't perform as you would expect. Very pretty on the nose and faint Leroy spice with nice balance, but just didn't do it for me.
