Got a glass here now and it has decanted for 2 hours. The nose is cranberry and lightly floral and cherry. The mouth is full of deep dark fruit and a chocolate cherry palate with a good amount of chewy tannins. It’s just awesome. It’s in a great place now!

A Small Rosh Hashanah Dinner and Wine in Princeton (Princeton, NJ): This was my first Peby wine. Loads of red and black fruits, cherry, black cherry, chocolate, espresso, licorice, graphite, creme de cassis, oak and loads of fine tannins on the finish. It was a big, lush, hedonistic wine that improved with air but was delicious from the first sip.
It was a good pairing with all the food (beef brisket, roast chicken, herbal rack of lamb) but utterly delicious on its own. While we drank it now it could easily age for 5-10 more years, to really show its stuff.
This is a 1,000 case limited edition, 100% merlot wine from the 45-year old vines.
We had the "baby Peby" after this wine and it gave hints where this wine was going.

Lush, ripe, round and loaded up with super ripe, lush, round, black fruits, blueberry, chocolate, espresso and licorice. On the palate, this is structured, hedonism, with a chocolate covered, black cherry end note.

High tone ripe black and red berries, sandalwood, milk chocolate, sweet oak spices, some leather and black tea with underlying minerality. On palate it is very rich but holding itself quite well just fine focus. Still prominent oak and tannins. Layered, ultra long. Wait 3-5 years. From nose to palate, borderline Napa, but a super premium one. Like it.

A beautiful bottle of wine. Incredibly well balanced while exuding a beautiful ripe fruit aroma and rich body. Just a stunning bottle.
