Coravin fun - Lafon Rochet (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity of chalky floor, a little damp cellar, sous bois, slightly dried out dark fruits and orange peel, and a tiny smidge of farmyard, a little sweet and peppery spice, biscuit and a little dried flower. Juicy, fleshy, medium minus intensity chalky textured tannins spoor the dried orange peel and black fruits, slight non-intrusive alcohol warmth joins on the finish, tertiary notes present but more in the background. Very pleasant.

Coravin fun - Lafon Rochet (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas initially but grows with time, showing blackcurrant, sweet spice, a little aniseed. After a while it shows cassis, plum and leather in support as well as a little tomato leaf, slight cream and Christmas cake. Changes in the glass to show cedar, very slight caramel as well. In the mouth it's juicy, sweetly fruited then a wash of chalky tannins take over the palate, fruit persists with a little cream, alcohol warmth lends spice, long, finishes, very slightly bitter, savoury. Okay.

From Coravin. Black tea, pretty floral notes, toast, slightly baked black fruits, sweet spice, leather, cedar, earth, slightly meaty. Juicy, fleshy, black and red fruits, earth, leather, medium plus intensity talc textured tannins hand in hand with this. Long, balanced.

Coravin fun - new arrivals: From Coravin. Cedar, pyrazine, baked earth, plums and ripe blackcurrant, earthy, biscuit, soft and muted on the palate, silky tannins with a gritty core, slightly plummy with a baked quality, cork is immaculate. Hmm

The wine is clearly after the peak. Something without vivacity.... still enjoyable, but not with that charming power of other Bordeaux from the same vintage.
