Mature black fruit with leather, reduced mushroom and plenty of umami. Popped and poured, this was best after open for 15 minutes when it expanded slightly, and was at its best through the first hour, after which it started shortening and getting tired.
Mostly black fruit aromas with a bit of mushroom, braised meat and new oak spice. A bit more evolved on palate, just a touch too firm and structured for the flavor combination. Good now and likely to stay at this level for a while going forward.
Popped and poured. Slightly floral start with red and black cherry aromas along with plenty of earth and some meaty spice. Mostly black fruit on palate that comes across slightly more fresh than the nose. Good density, well textured, with an overall impression of a good Gevrey Villages level wine.
