Deep color. Blackberries, black cherries, chocolate and licorice in the nose. Black currants, black cherries, plums and hints of mocha in the flavor. Well balanced, full bodied, complex, and a medium to long smooth finish.

Deep color, this bottle took 30-40 minutes to open up after it was uncorked. Tannic and rough at first, but turned into a wonderful Cabernet after it was allowed to sit. It was a wonderful match with charcuterie. Lots of deep black fruit in the nose and flavor, blackberries, black cherries and plums with chocolate. Full bodied, complex, well balanced and a long smooth finish.

Really excellent upon PnP. Big fruit still very present though that muted with some air. Started to fade a bit with a couple hours of air. But held up better than the 2005 which we had the night before.

All the great deep dark rich black-n-blue fruit wonderfully balanced with integrated tannins that we want from an excellent Petite Sirah. Sadly our last 750ml, but look forward to the magnum that'll soon be a holiday joy. :-p

(Switchback Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Peterson Family Vineyard) This is the Petersons’ flagship wine. Vanilla-candy and cherry aromas explode from the bottle as soon as it’s opened. In the glass, an immense structure becomes evident, and the toasty-oak, espresso, and chocolate elements lead to fine tannins and a gloriously long finish. Winery Spotlight: Robert Foley Vineyards

A hint of oak to accompany the blackberry on day one but it was all pure fruit on day two.
