Beautiful gold color. Powerful nose that bursts out of the glass. Notes of vanilla, lemon pie, flint at first. Then tropical fruit notes of starfruit, passion fruit, banana. Mouth is medium body, buttery with a sharp acidity still. Tastes young. Noble bitters, lemon, minerals melt in a medium+ to long finish. Very nice

Flickinger dinner at avec River North (Chicago, IL): When they're on, they're on. A fantastic bottle that was almost indistinguishable from the 2017 alongside. Such freshness and electricity here, with oak providing the weight and breadth. Very high acidity, this tastes like it hasn't aged at all since it was bottled. There's a less than average amount of fruit here for this wine, and instead you get more mineral stuffing. A far more convincing bottle than my previous one a few years back.

Second time of tasting, and once again it delivered. It drinks like a Grand Cru and is great value for money. Tasting profile is as per previous note. 94+
