  • Lovely, ripe but not overripe cassisy/plummy Nuits fruit, with plenty of meaty spice notes to add complexity. Not especially dense or powerful, but the fruit is beautifully fresh and this is surprisingly elegant for NSG. Exactly what you would expect from this terroir on the Vosne side of Nuits. Yum. Drinks beautifully now but not showing much of that tertiary autumnal mushroom character, so could easily be held for several more years.

  • There is a hint of funk that wasn't present in a bottle of this consumed a few years ago, but the fruit and structure are still quite strong and this should hold for several more years. A very nice wine.
