  At Bellota with Peter. This is drinking wonderfully. Great intensity of fruit and balanced tannins. Quite Bordeaux like. Great now, but still has the fruit and backbone for a few more years if you need to.

  Primary flavors are basically gone but tertiary notes are very alive. Crushed earth, mushrooms, and cedar are present. Tannins are smooth but acidity is still vibrant. Very pleasant with 18 years on it.

  This wine is drinking wonderfully, even at 17 years old! It could have used more decanting, but was still fabulous! Enjoyed with grilled ribeyes as we celebrated my 35 years in the wine business. Too bad it was only a 375ml! 😟
