Purchased at Wine Watch last winter. Classic red Burgundy—Pop and pour. There was an floral scent explosion immediately. While the color was very pale, there is still plenty of power remaining. Amazingly I still taste significant fruit, a combination of wild cherry and a bit of cranberry. The dry, sweet leather is obvious, but the winner is the complex blend of various dried flowers, with a small slice of orange peel and lovely soy sauce. Even at age 49, stems and cloves are evident. My first bottle of this, opened in May, was totally corked; this one totally atoned. Wish I had one for tomorrow.
