I thought that this had aged very well. Purchased directly from the winery, so provenance wasn't an issue. Notes of earthiness have balanced out the still vibrant fruit. Good perfume and nice, balanced palate presence. Great with salmon.

Excellent body and stood up to 98 Heirloom and Gary Farrell pinot for a Carlos holiday dinner; not an overwhelming Kosta pinot, but still has some life

Popped and poured and then consumed over 6 hours. Medium to full-bodied wine that is dark ruby in color. On the nose, dark berries, menthol, and light VA. On the palate, black raspberries, black cherry, licorice, and vanilla oak on the extremely long 40+ second finish. The abundance of fruit and the ultra-long finish were nice, but unfortunately, this bottle had some heat on the finish and could have benefited from a little cool down to smooth it out. I would drink this one up if you have it in the cellar as it tasted much fresher a few years ago.

(Kosta Browne Pinot Sonoma) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-beautiful integrated raspberry & strawberry, hint of black pepper, intriguing dark liqueur aspect (strawberry Daiquiri); TASTE-high alcohol (obviously young), tremendous mouthfeel; completely coats your palate, overwhelming cherry & dark tobacco flavors which I adore; this wine is overwhelming me, the finish is extremely long, intriguing Powdered Strawberry Nestle Quik; extremely structured; a Home Run; very floral & New World; will only get better; WS-95; GV-93+

This 13 year old was awesome. Full of structured black fruits well integrated but still had plenty of punch left in its delivery. Loved it.

Very good, but near the end. Full and rich.
