  • There's always some fear involved in opening a Lafon from the pre-diam era, but happily this bottle was pristine. Tense with succulent fruit, an absolutely charming and delicious wine.

  • Very lemony nose for a Meursault. There is a nice liveliness there with a touch of menthol.

In the mouth, the liveliness is confirmed, there is a lot of tension in the mouthfeel. There is a roasted peanut side which comes out in a subtle way, while in the first curtain, yellow fruits, citrus fruits and above all a beautiful minerality stand out clearly. The second part of the palate is oilier, with this touch of menthol which always brings this beautiful acidity with this village which is still very young but which already offers a beautiful complexity and a lot of pleasure. A few reduction notes complete the picture, but the acidity is impressive for a village, which makes me say that the more upscale vintages will have to wait a little longer. Finish as vegetal as saline with good length.

A very good Meursault village, very precise and lively, at the beginning of its life. If at the estate price, it is completely justified, the second hand prices are staggering and are not worth the financial effort to be made.

  • Very rich apple butter and caramel apple flavors and aromas with good+ depth, but more mature than ideal, certainly less vibrant vs my previous bottle in 2021.

  • Natural cork. Drank alongside the 2013. Showing more colour then the 2013 and more developed. In a great spot for drinking. Touch of honey. Softer citrus compared to the 2013 which still has the tension whereas this 2010 is a bit softer (not in a bad way) that comes with more development (and the vintage). No need to age this any further. Excellent.
