2002 Domaine Huet Le Haut-Lieu Sec, Vouvray alc 12%. Clear pale yellow. Palate has nice waxiness with lemon and lychee. No perceivable sweetness Nice maturity but no tiredness

Amber in colour, clearly showing its age. Glue and acetate on the nose. Little primary fruit left - a bit of melons and ripe peaches but giving way to leather and gum tertiary flavours. Interesting and with a medium finish. Not to my personal taste but I am sure some will like it.

Dark yellow. Developed and nutty aromas with loads of honey. Also some butter malt and sweet dried fruits. Rich and ripe on the palate. Not the most elegant Chenin, maybe.

Fairly dark gold color, enough so that I elected not to serve this wine to guests last night. Today in a burgundy-size glass, it's clear that the wine is not premoxed; that being said, it has lost some of the freshness of earlier times. Wax notes in nose and mouth, smooth and glossy texture, medium-weight, round -- a good wine for rillettes. Cellared since original release.

(Huet Le Haut Lieu Vouvray Sec) Just a genius wine. Touch closed but with crystalline purity and classic chenin aromas. Roasted nuts, pear, apple, peach and minerals. Delicate yet so detailed on the palate with incredible acidity and crunchy fruit. Coming along very nicely.

Developed and aromatic, with lychee and some furniture polish. Full bodied and generous style. Apparently low in acidity for a Chenin Blanc.
