Agree completely w Niklast below. Not a world-beater wine, but no question it is well-built and very enjoyable. Wish I bought more. Enjoying while my kitchen smells of roast chicken, potatoes and vegetables, which are in the oven cooking. It works.

Excellent cru bourgeois from warm vintage. Quite evolved now, delivering classic bordeaux action with some extra fruit. Not overly complex but very enjoyable at 15 years of age on a sunday evening. No rush but no reason to wait either.

Kept under condition 2 since september 2012 (see my profile). Reasonable amount of fruit; already quite a lot of deposit, but still with a bit of drying, rather heavy tannins. A bold wine. This bottle did only show a bit of development since my last one and lacked real quality. When I would have another one, I would keep it for two more years. 87-88.

color is brick/reddish orange from a garnet hue, can see the bit of age in the color and rim. Straightforward aromas of graphite, stone, gently rotted dark fruits. Picking up aromas of old leather, and pine. Sun-baked soil, ripe cherry, and peppercorn on the palate. Wine has good structure from juicy acidity, medium tannin. Nice short to medium finish pulling out notes of dried flowers and cherries and oak. Got this very cheap, have had the 2016 and liked it and now the 2009 - both great vintages in Bordeaux/Medoc. This bottle is still very much alive and very much worth the $20 and has some interesting things going on.
