First of four bottles. Top shoulder fill. Cork in decent condition for age. Not decanted, nor should it be. Beautiful aged wine characteristics with a complex nose with still a little evolved fruit, spices, herbes and mineral character. Still enough tannin to hold this wine together but not enough to create astringency. Unusually deep color for a Mourvedre wine with minimal signs of aging. Both nose and palate provide a great deal of pleasure. To be consumed over the next few years, no great hurry.
