I have drunk a few of these over the years and it remains pretty consistent. This is still very youthful. No real signs of age, but also not much development either. Purple in color. The nose is deep with black raspberries, iron, gamey meat and black pepper. On the palate, not much complexity but delicious. Some found it it ponderous and monolithic. I am not sure I would disagree with the later, but it is very tasty. The bottle got drained quickly so it could not have been that burdensome. ;-) No hurry on these, but not for everyone.

Black fruits - black cherries and blackberries. Meatiness. A saliva-inducing savoriness which is nice. A beam of acidity runs through it. Very fruit forward but it is balanced. Has held up well over the last 6 years. Still has life left in it.

Just starting to show some maturity. These are raw, savage wines that exude fruit and warm climate (west side Paso) syrah. Lot of delicious enjoyment. I picked up a bunch from Posner when they were on sale and they are just starting to evolve. Love these wines.

Plum and cherries on the palate with a hint of earth. The finish is a bit thin and warm. 15.5% alc. A big, beefy, Syrah.
