Wonderful wine and first DRC. Similar to other notes with the slightly stewed nose and red fruit. Very soft on the mouth and smooth finish. I did think that the wine was a little past its' peak, but that might just be the vintage.

Absolutely stunning bouquet of red fruit - a strawberry explosion even. Everything was perfectly integrated but definitely still had some backbone despite the age. Went down so smmothly, it was just a joy to drink.
Too many good burgundies are butchered these days through infanticide, I'm very glad that I managed to enjoy this bottle at a very good point in its life.

Subtlle Vosne spice on the nose with slightly stewed, but not unpleasant red fruit. Incredibly soft in the mouth with a good finish. Speaks to the vintage. Drinking well now and should hold fore several years with limited upside for me.

Echezeaux Extravaganza: Henri Jayer and DRC 1976-2007 (La Grenouille, New York): The DRC 90 vs 89 comparison reminds me of the Bordeaux 90 vs 89 vintage comparison. The 89 DRC is a bit more intense and structured than the 90. Great depth but could use slightly more length compared to the 90. Signature smokey nose.

Full blown DRC nose, pretty red fruit, earthy, underlined spice, balanced acidity with super long finish. This bottle was excellent.
