Dark red color, moderate transparency with some thinning at the rim. Smoke, loam, black cherry, and some strawberry on the nose. Palate has fully integrated with cherry and raspberry red fruit dominating over some earth and spice elements. Medium finish. Drink.

Still has grippy tannins on the finish and life ahead but showing nicely with plentiful darker fruit, menthol, and forest. Well made as expected. Enjoyed with food.

Nose of cherry, cola spice, and a prominent minty herbal note with air. The palate is medium-full, with significant fruit remaining. The texture feels like there is still some new oak influence, a little glossy when initially opened. But I could be mistaken about whether this saw any new oak. I find the acidity a touch low for the lighter Pinot balance I prefer, but it's a quibble; this is hardly flabby. All in all, interesting and fun to drink at this stage, but it seems like it reflects a style that Rhys has moved past.

Dark ruby red;complex nose of strawberry, red raspberry, cardamom and other faint spice;flavors match the bouquet and add a little dark chocolate note; very well balanced on the palate, full body and long smooth finish

(Rhys Pinot Noir Bearwallow Vineyard) Dark cherry red color; forest floor, fine oak, woody nose; tight, tart cherry, sous bois, mineral palate with a touch of smoke and firm tannins, needs 5-7 years; medium-plus finish

Drinking fantastically well at 14 years of age. Black cherry pie, grand marnier, Thai basil. Plush mouthfeel and soft tannins and mouthwatering acid.
