(DI MAJO NORANTE CONTADO AGLIANICO) #2; COLOR-really nice; NOSE-red beets, hint or Kirsch, potpourri of flowers; TASTE-a great shock of acidity on mid-palate, interesting layers of green, red & yellow peppers, this is real wine, shoots w/ a chocolate covered strawberries reduction sauce on the finish (keeps New World fans on board), nice smokiness; a SCREAMING value for $12; RP-91; GV-90-

Medium dark red. Clearly has shed some of the oaky influences of its youth, with more true to type pomegranate and iron character on the nose. On the palate, the baby fat is apparent upfront but gone by the finish, where seriously respectable tannins accumulate. I like the direction this has taken in the cellar.
