Marvelous. Color still dense, deep and dark. Bouquet was sweet and thick from the pull and even sparked a bit of walnut in the first hour--walnut and waffle. The palate took about an hour to relax and deepen. Then it came to the fore, sweetened up and extended. Solid acidity and balance; structured tannin through the finish. A great drink now but could go on a long time and make silky bones. Well done.

cork slightly exended above top of bottle not a good sign and sure enough wine was partially corked...not horrible but not its best

Drinking well. Licorice, pine and earth scents with savory dark cherry plum fruit. Good tart acidity and some dusty tannin still.
