Double decanted for sediment and air about 90 minutes before consumption. Very good balance for a big wine. Tannins mostly resolved. Dark fruits and spice box on the nose, those follow to the pallet. Long finish. Have a few more and plan to wait 2-3 years for the next one.

My final bottle of this vintage and I shared it with 5 other members of my wine group. I have to say they liked it much more than I did. I felt it was a little past its prime, almost all spice notes, some oxidation on the nose, and very little fruit showing. Still good, but nowhere near as good as it was a few years ago. But like I said, most of my group liked it much more than I did.

(Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) Dark in color. Rich aromas of blackberries, mocha, licorice, earth, and spice. An opulent, expansive wine that opens up and spreads out across the palate. Beautifully structured with the tannins to go the distance. Capped off by an extended finish. 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot. Champoux, Klipsun, and Taptiel vineyards. Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak. 15.2% alcohol. Sampled at 68 degrees.

Wow, a friend brought it over tonight. Beautiful wine. Wish I had some. Might be fully mature, but no sign of fading.

Very good, full body, fruity. Have not had it for several years. Used to be one of my favourite wines and still is.

Just keeps getting better. Perfectly integrated, mocha and cassis on the nose. Delicious with ribeye.
