Quelque peu déçu par la bouteille, une liqueur en deçà de mes attentes avec une matière en retrait en comparaison d'autres années, je pense notamment à 1996.

Thanksgiving Mondo Dinner 2023 (Atlanta, GA): Served non-blind. This was exactly what my palate needed at this point in the line-up. Served at 50 degrees and paired with a delicious terrine of Foie Gras on brioche toast with Apricot jam. Perfectly paired and served as a wonderful palate cleanser, which inspired me to go cellar diving. The Yquem was darker in color (caramel) than maybe it should be at this age. Nevertheless, delicious!

Opened and poured. Yellow in color. The nose like candied ginger. The palate was white plums, candied ginger and apricot with hints of honey. The finish was long and smooth. Went perfectly with the baked plum torte it was served with.

Quite dark color. Honey, cane sugar, polishing wax, orange bitterness, good acidity and a good length. The wine is quite mature.
