  • Freaking amazing--the label had totally rotted off, the cork was crumbly but had good tight foil...and the wine! amazing! had a subtle fruit nose that needed an hour after decanting to become more assertive, moderate fine sediment, slightly brown edges but deep dark crimson, lovely long legs, big mouthfeel with gentle fruit and touch of tannin to make interesting, clean moderately long delicious finish--for 50 years an astounding wine
it's brother bottle was consumed in the mid 70's and is still remembered as one of the best wines of all time
