  • Wines of the Gods (House of AC and JC): Component of DRC Echezeaux and Grands Echezeaux vertical. Medium ruby with herbal soy on the nose. Robust wolfberry palate extending into an expansive long Genmaicha finish. Best 2030-2050.

  • A decent wine that lacks any wow, which this price point necessitates. (7742/9396)

  • No detailed notes taken. Expressive nose with dark fruits, minty notes, herbs, stems and sous bois, minerality. Very complex, pure, fresh, precise. On the palate this was a bit young with full on dark fruit, burnt sugar, fine herbs and minerality, stems, smoke. This is light as a feather which is a highlight. We had this at the end of a long, wine rich evening and I couldn‘t fully appreciate it anymore. 93/94 pts

  • At a terrific dinner at Bibendum this bottle was part of the main "duo" for the night side by side an exception and soaring CLB Eche 08. The DRC GE 06 played it close to its vest at first and appeared reserved next to the exuberance of the CLB. A very fine wine though without doubt, with tense mineral core, fine tea notes. We decided to "park" this bottle after a few glasses and give it a decant and revisit an hour later which proved a good call. The wine had clearly relaxed and opened up and was much more giving exuding fine bramble notes. I think this wine is clearly on the way up and best give it another 5-10 years in bottle or else do not shy away from aeration to get the best experience. Thanks Kevin for sharing this special bottle.

  • Wonderful wine. Such balance between this power, acidity, finesse, class, elegance, density with such length and this signature DRC fruit with those roses scents. amazing wine.

Grand vin. Équilibre entre acidité, douceur, finesse, classe, élégance, puissance et une longueur si impressionnante, avec ce fruité incomparable, les roses, et cette signature DRC. 94-95
