  • Jason’s note below is spot on.....really surprised how well this is drinking right now. Some funk when first opened but really settled down. Our last bottle.

“93 Points Peak drinking. Still brilliant garnet color, only the slightest hint of Orange in edges but can’t taste it. Flinty pie crust and dusty cherries, tons of inv in mid palate, balanced and clear fruit. Vanillas have burned off. Just perfect Sonoma Pinot. We had a marginal bottle with age defects a few years ago, but this one really held up.”

  • Sojourn has, over the years, become an "old faithful" in my world. This wine , 11 years later still lives! Sojourn by its nature is a pinot which emphasizes darker fruits with a little more weight than one might expect from many pinots. After an hour or so, this wine developed a nose of dark cherry, and blue berries with a hint of young strawberry in the back. On the pallet, this medium bodied wine was still putting its best foot forward by delivering dark cherries with a hint of its age coming through in licorice and smoke flavors and as its nose begins to collapse after a few hours of air. Still good, but pull them out and drink them up!!

  • The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, raspberry, strawberry jam and forest floor. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
