  • Family Holidays; 7/28/2023-9/10/2023 (Alicante - España): Third of six. Popped and poured. Cork perfectly on fit. Beautiful dark ruby colour. Smells like flesh, sweet spices, red berries, chalk or old tonnel.
On the palate what we've is a light to medium bodied wine, good acidity, little structure, decent length and a bitter, dry finish. Tamed tannins. Better if chilled because high alcohol (14.5 ABV). Usual high level of sediments. Almost a fourteen years on and still a good example I thought. Maybe the best until now, I guess.

Tercera de seis. Descorchada y vertido. Corcho perfectamente en forma. Hermoso color de un rubí oscuro. Huele a carne, especias dulces, bayas rojas, tiza o a tonel viejo.

  • Beautiful yet dull garnet colour with a watery rim. Aromas of black olives, bleeding flesh, blue flowers, steel and mahogany. Good complexity for a bottle at this range. It begins to be deliciously rusty in the mouth. Soft texture for a medium-bodied wine, balanced by acidity that is giving length and a great tasty sense. It shows the hand of the producer is pretty evident. Once again port-like sediments. I got four more bottles left.

Bello aunque apagado color granate con ribetes acuosos. Aromas a olivas negras, carne sangrante, flores azules, acero y caoba.

  • Lovely, elegant, medium-high to highly aromatic nose offers maturing dried dark berry, sweet cinnamon spice, floral, and wood aromas. It is medium-full to full-bodied on the palate with very good concentration and lovely savoury, sweet spice, dried dark berry, and wet earth flavours with a touch of olive on the mid-palate. It has balanced acidity, while the fine tannins have integrated very nicely, with a slight chalky texture. Well-balanced overall with earthy, savoury, and dried berry notes lingering on the long finish.
