Wonderfully bright, clear ruby colour, with some browning at the edge. Rich, sweet nose of raspberry jam and blackberry. Light-bodied, but with good structure: smooth, mouth-drying tannins and strong, crisp acid. Flavours of raspberry and stawberry, plus a blackberry note suggestive of carbonic maceration. There's a nice earthy, mushroomy character behind the fruit, then a hint of nail polish, but the refreshing acidity keeps the fruit in the foreground. Seems very stable: ready to drink, but there's no hurry.

Dark garnet, with slight lightening at the edge. Earthy/sous bois, some leather and dark fruits on the nose. Nice dark fruits, with a finish trending toward red fruits and some slight dusty tannins on the finish. Quite nice.

What a surprise. Earthy, loamy, fresh thyme, menthol, and gameyness. Great texture with kirsch flavors and it seems like the Grenache dominates here. Can still be cellared another few years.

I second Steffen's comment about this being a surprise in a good way. Although not a huge wine in character it drank quite well. It was earthy with kirsch flavors. On the thin side but definitely a nice example of an aged Rhone.

This was drinking wonderfully. Very smooth and well-integrated, with a nice combination of dark fruit and earthy overtones, with just the slightest hint of pepper. It followed a 98 CDP, which made for a great combination.
