  • Mildly aromatic of black cherries and a bit of spice. Silky palate, this has a fantastic texture but I'm guessing it's past it's prime as there is very little flavor here. That said, what's here is quite nice! If you have bottles, jump in your TARDIS and drink circa 2015. 88

  • Completely flat. Was it way past its drink date, or flawed? I don’t know, but all the same very disappointed…

  • Still drinking very well - cork was in great condition with no leakage. This was a really nice Syrah with good dark fruit and spice. Not terribly intense, but very well balanced and quite drinkable. Pairs well with braised meats, stews, etc - we had ours with beef bourgogne.

  • Mature nose of pond water, roasted black cherries and herbs. Medium-bodied and quite mature. Some roasty black cherry fruit and spices/herbs on the palate. Quite lacking in intensity or flavor, this shows no signs of oxidation, but is washed out. That being said, it should make a fine accompaniment to carnitas verde and Brussels with bacon. 86

  • {cork, m13%} An immaculate cork heralds a developed wine of earth and spice, pepper and soft red fruit. The nose is repeated on the palate as flavour, supported by fine gritty tannin and medium acidity. There's a touch of bright cherry fruit left, but it's otherwise rather earthy and compost-like, although this blows off with time. In fact, the longer it sits, the lighter it becomes, in the end only barely weighing in at medium-bodied, with a tobacco twist to its medium-length, dry finish. Decent enough effort from a good vintage, but unlikely to evolve much further. Just a touch four-square to be really enticing.
