No sign of ageing judging on the the dark purple color without any fading on the edge. Dark raspberry and grape candy at first on the nose, but with some air, fresher blackberries and cassis popping out. Some pepper and licorice. No hint of 14.9% alcohol content. A baby with tannin structure still a bit aggressive, but great layer of fruits and minerals. A bit short on the finish.
huge wine. took a couple hours for the alcohol and mild bitterness to fade. thought there would be more complexity. better than but like cheaper big aussies. demands a huge marinated steak. bought at closeout. would not buy again at regular retail price.
