A good example of why 2007 is esteemed as a great vintage in the Rhone Valley in France. Even the lesser wines are unusually good. Pours well straight out of the bottle dark, lush, fruity, soothing, and refreshing, with a long finish that ends dry, and no sign of oxidation or decline from being 10 years old.

I'm going to mark this one up a notch. I'd say even though it is a non-estate wine but from a stellar vintage, it's got a few more years and worth buying again from strong vintages. I remember drinking it early on and liking it then. Well, it's better now but 10 years is good.

Holding up reasonably well, surprising for such a humble CdR. Still a solid ruby through to the disk and nice luxurious legs. More on the bacon fat and meaty end of the spectrum with a lot of the fruit having dropped out. Pavement and anise in the finish and not much else. Past its prime. But still fun to drink.

A decent table wine from a great year. I think this one could last a few more years but why wait? It's drinking well now.
