Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • What a treat to open. In my cellar for 40 years...recorked at the chateau in 1981. Typical bottle blue glass of the war years. Great fill to lower neck. Served from bottle and not decanted. Tertiary aromas of mushroom, truffle, and forest floor. Light in body, elegant. No tannins, soft. Slight amount of fruit still present on the sweet finish.Certainly well past prime, but a great experience for my 80th birthday dinner.
