From a magnum donated from the Yquem cellars. Complex aromatics of ripe peach, apricot, grilled mango and vanilla. So luscious and layered, with incredible fruit sweetness. Fabulous intensity and engages with every sip. For all its sweetness it finishes so clean and bright and has such great presence.

This is definitely a great wine, and it is clearly the best sweet white wine that I have ever had.
The color is already brown, and there is already some taste of sherry, but otherwise the wine still feels young. However, I am not sure, if any additional maturing would anymore improve the quality of the wine at all.
The wine is dense, thick, intensive, sweet and very fruity on the palate, presenting stunning notes of noble rot, honey and apricot. However, in spite of the sweet and overwhelmingly rich character, the wine was surprisingly fresh on the palate. All in all, this was my first experience of Château d'Yquem, and the experience was great. I fully understand the legendary and special reputation of the wine.

A very nice wine, not exceptional. This is my last of the 375ml '99 Y'Quem that I bought for $99 @ bottle. Thanks to Dennis Dinsmore.
Color. Electric orange.
Nose. Dried orange peel, coconut, persimmon, cinnamon liquor, cinnamon red hots. Very unique old sauterne nose.
Palate. Medium heavy weight. Decent acidity. Dried oranges and burnt caramel. Finish lasts and lasts. The 2nd glass and 30 minutes of air really helped this wine.

Open That Bottle Night 2023: Looks like liquid gold in the glass, with heady aromas of yellow fruit, sugared lemons and hints of honey. The taste is apricots and citrus and just the essence of honeycomb. Extremely sweet but so light it dances, mouthwatering and juicy - even after 24 years it seems as fresh as the day it was bottled. Long, complex finish.

Bucket List tasting at Wijnkoperij Okhuysen: Open and pretty. Golden color.
Aromas of hazelnut, vanilla, spices and dried fruit.
Rich, thick texture with linear acidity and improbable length. Very cohesive.
Classic, and drinking very well right now.
