4th of 12th splits. About a month since my last bottle. This continued to open and improve in glass over 5 hours until my patience and one glass ran out lol. This is a well balanced mouth coating hedonistic wine. This must be in or near its prime with decades ahead of it. I would suggest a long decant on this. This paired well with quinoa salad over lunch.

This is just about as consistent as a wine can actually get, with layers after layers of flavours; creme brulee, passion fruit, toffee caramel, honey and a ton of acidity to carry that big voluptuous and viscous body. This is the kinda stuff that can last forever.

7th bottle from a case being consumed since 2012 or so. As an Yquem lover, I vacillate between scoring this based on my love for Yquem or its merits relative to other Yquem vintages. I'm going to do the latter and propose that this falls short of classic Yquem from great vintages. It's very good but not outstanding or transcendent.

5 weeks from my last bottle. This was far superior to the 2001 Rieussec we drank along with it. I’d like to think this is in its prime with a very long runway. This was accessible upon opening but developed nicely throughout the evening. This never disappoints.

5 weeks since my last bottle. This would benefit from an hour in the decanter and then it’s quite inviting and delicious. Probably not in its prime but delicious nonetheless.
