A nicely crafted Pinot, nuanced and complex with flavors of dark cherry, root beer, baking spice and hints of herbs, with a medium finish that features soft vanilla tannins. This one really is a testament to deft wine making.
This has improved since the first bottle I had. But it certainly still need air. The wine gains significantly after a few hours. Lots of red fruits, particularly cherries. In addition, some rose petals and hints of spices. Wish I had cases of this, I think it will develop further over the coming years.
Nose: Wow has this wine come along! Aromas of moss, spice, underbrush, red fruits and cassis hints. Beautiful nose. Palate: Ripe, red fruits with rhubarb, watermelon and soft spices. The acidity of past bottles has tempered almost to a fault but other than that this wine is hitting on all cylinders. Finish is medium with a lingering element. Last bottle and just fantastic!
Nice combination of red and black fruit with a delicious coating of soft vanilla tannins. Time has assisted in developing complexity. Much better than my previous bottle. Day 2 - Okay, but lacking compared to Day 1.
