An oakier chardonnay than I prefer, but this works. The nose consists of pear, a touch of spice, and subtle oak. Palette has some tropical fruit up front, very mild pear, and toasted oak with a touch of butter. Medium finish. A mild, subtle, and slightly oaky chardonnay.

Straw color. Nose: Asian pear, lime curd, pineapple, and green plum with accents of vanilla wafer, meringue, brioche, white rose, baking spices, and river stone. Medium body on the palate: lime curd, green plum, baked green apple, and pineapple core framed by baking spices, white pepper, vanilla wafer, orange zest, and river stone. Medium acidity. Lingering baking spices, apple skin, white pepper, toothpick, and river stone on the moderate/long finish. Pretty green fruit with excellent balance and nuanced wood spice accents. Pair with sauteed or grilled scallops or whitefish, creamy pasta, or soft mild cheeses. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
