Very Golden in the glass, a touch of light green, medium legs, looks thicker. This is day 2, day 1 was all tight and just not showing well so here's the moment of truth, a day of decanting. The nose hits with nice white florals and a strong petroleum note that is quite viscous and really overrides anything I would consider a specific fruit. Just getting generic white and stone, maybe a bit of flinty gunpowder. Some lemon zest. Heavy petroleum on the front palate, potent, baked green apples almost cobbler-esque, grapefruit, honey underneath splashing up to a wet flinty stone. Not feeling anything residual on sugar, just fruit. Bone dry all the way through. Its definitely better day 2 however the finish feels watery, its acidity feels muted and only pops on the finish to make it a little astringent. Interesting bottle, got 2 left and I don't feel that this is on its way out, just maybe in an odd phase.

Certainly on the trocken side of things, with a touch of sweetness. Low key nose, pale in color. A subtle wine with a dry finish. A touch austere but enjoyable. Edit: the wine got increasingly more expressive with time. There's more going on here. Layered and fine. I'm upping the rank.

Similar notes as last, less decant time.
